Your Consumer Rights
Last updated: 3 July 2026
When you buy from The Lumia Group Pty Ltd, you automatically get consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). These can't be excluded; any voluntary guarantee is in addition to them.
The guarantees
Among other things, our goods must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be fit for any purpose we describe. A business can't take these rights away.
Your remedies (ACCC wording)
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:
• has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
• is unsafe
• is significantly different from the sample or description
• doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.
Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value.
If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.
Please keep your proof of purchase — e.g. your receipt.
How this works with our warranty
Our 12-month warranty is in addition to these rights — and your consumer guarantees are not limited to the warranty period; they can apply beyond 12 months for a durable product. We don't offer change-of-mind refunds. More info: accc.gov.au.
When you buy from The Lumia Group Pty Ltd from New Zealand, you automatically get guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ). These cannot be contracted out of for consumer purchases; any voluntary guarantee is in addition to them.
The guarantees
Among other things, our goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, match their description, and be delivered within a reasonable time. These rights cannot be taken away, and the Fair Trading Act 1986 also protects you against misleading or deceptive conduct.
Your remedies (Consumer Guarantees Act 1993)
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
But if a product fails to meet a guarantee, you have remedies under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
• where the failure can be remedied, we must repair or replace the product, or refund you, within a reasonable time
• where the failure is of a substantial character — the product is unsafe, substantially unfit for purpose, or a reasonable consumer would not have bought it knowing of the fault — you can reject the goods and choose a refund or a replacement
• you may also claim compensation for any reasonably foreseeable consequential loss.
Please keep your proof of purchase — e.g. your receipt.

Your rights when you buy ARCHER in the United States.
Implied warranties (UCC)
Under the Uniform Commercial Code adopted in your state, the goods we sell carry an implied warranty of merchantability (and, where we know your particular purpose and you rely on us, fitness for that purpose).
Our written warranty
The ARCHER device comes with a Limited Warranty. Because we give a written warranty, we do not disclaim these implied warranties; under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act we only limit their duration to the written-warranty period, where state law permits.
Our 12-month warranty
Our 12-month Limited Warranty (see Warranty) is in addition to these rights. We don't offer change-of-mind refunds — faulty products are covered by the warranty and your state-law rights (see Refund & Returns).
